Timepath Product Update – May 2025

Product update: Smarter templates, streamlined editing, and more control over your storytelling.

We’ve rolled out several improvements across Timepath to help editors and creators work more efficiently, stay consistent, and boost audience engagement. Here’s what’s new:

1. Timeline Maker

Timeline templates are now available. Choose from preset templates, customize them, and add short descriptions to help your team use them effectively. You can also save any existing timeline as a reusable template.

• New icon options for timeline events

• Customizable navigation arrows

• Three progress bar styles for timelines

Each template is customizable, and you can add a short description to guide your editors. You can also turn any existing timeline into a template:

1. Open the timeline in the editor

2. Go to Settings > Template

3. Give it a name and save it to your workspace

This helps teams quickly reuse proven formats that fit your style and workflow.

2. Collections

You can now create Collection templates that automatically pull in articles from specific sources. This makes it simple to launch collections by topic without manual setup.

• Optional icon

For example: Add a button that says “Subscribe to the newsletter” to encourage users to stay connected after completing the quiz.

3. Quiz

Quizzes now support a customizable call to action on the results screen. You can define:

• Button text

• Destination link

• Button color

• Optional icon

Other Improvements

• Move timelines, collections, quizzes, polls, and liveblogs across workspaces

• Add images to poll choices – great for sports or entertainment polls

• Add a search bar to your timeline so readers can quickly find events
