Timepath Update November 2025: Extended Analytics & New Timeline Templates
Last month, we focused on delivering two core needs for modern newsrooms: total clarity on performance and more powerful ways to engage your audience. From an upgraded analytics suite to stunning new product features, here’s what’s launched in your Timepath workspace.
Extended Analytics Insight
We’ve significantly extended and improved Timepath’s analytics, providing clarity into how readers interact with your content. This addition guides smarter format and design decisions for your future stories.
Scroll Depth: This new metric shows exactly how far readers make it through your Live Blogs and Timelines. Scroll depth is calculated using data from Event Analysis, including pageviews, link or media clicks, and time spent per event. In the analytics overview, you’ll find the average scroll depth for each Timeline or Live Blog, allowing you to compare performance and quickly spot which stories sustain audience attention.
Dashboard Overview: With the dashboard, you can instantly see and compare engagement across all formats (Timelines, Live Blogs, Quizzes, etc.), allowing you to easily identify which format resonates most with your readers.
NEW Timeline Templates
We’ve added two powerful new Timeline templates, each offering a fresh, engaging way to present your stories.
Map Timeline: This new template combines your timeline with an interactive map displayed alongside it showing the specific location of each event. As readers scroll through the timeline, the map automatically pans and zooms to follow the story. It’s perfect for multi-location news coverage or local reviews, eliminating the need for readers to look up places on a separate map. You can add locations manually or use the auto-location detector when importing articles. See this template in action here.
Scroll Animation: A new vertical template enhanced with dynamic scroll animations, delivering smooth transitions between events and a fully immersive storytelling flow. See example here.
Workspace Improvement
We also improved daily workflow efficiency so you can spend less time searching and more time creating.
Seamless Navigation: We implemented pagination across both the analytics and overview tabs, allowing you to easily manage and navigate even your largest content archives.
Faster Workflow: New filter and rank options streamline your workflow, enabling you to quickly sort and locate specific Timelines, Collections, etc., speeding up the overall process.
